Welcome, we are glad to see you!

How soon can I be seen?

At Orlando North Eye Clinic, your vision is our focus, so we want to see you in-person at our clinic as soon as we can to meet your needs. If it is emergent we will try to see you right away. We also offer our Telehealth service for virtual consultations for certain vision or eye health concerns. Call the office so we can start the process of creating a personalized care plan for you.

I don’t have any insurance, how much is an appointment?

At Orlando North Eye Clinic, your vision is our focus and we understand that not everyone has health insurance. The clinic accepts patients without insurance and we offer self-pay options based on the medical needs for your office visit. The cost of the medical care is based on the medical exam and diagnostic tests needed to treat your eye concerns. Understand that when you choose to visit the clinic, your doctor’s priority is to care for your eyes and he will do what he can to optimize your care while being cost-effective. Please feel free to call the clinic to discuss your specific eye care needs and at the time of the visit we may be able to provide an estimate for you.

Do we accept your insurance?

There are many insurance plans available to meet your needs. Please see our list of insurances we accept here. It is continuously changing, so be sure to check periodically. Be sure to check if our clinic is a provider on your plan when searching for a new plan or renewing an existing plan as insurance companies continuously updating their provider lists.

What is Refraction?

Refraction is a measurement of the eyes that determines the best vision in each eye. The test is necessary if you would like to have a new prescription for glasses or contact lenses, or if you have a change in your vision. Determining your best vision is the only way to begin an evaluation of your eye health, so we will check your vision with your glasses on or contact lenses in. So it is important for you to bring in your glasses or contacts with you to the appointment. We perform refractions utilizing precise and highly technical instruments, as well as the expertise of our doctor.

Why doesn’t my insurance cover refraction?

Medicare and many other insurance plans consider refraction to a diagnostic vision test not covered under their medical coverage, so this amount is charged separately and is paid directly by you, the patient. Medicare secondary insurance plans will also not pay the charge since it is not a Medicare-covered service. The refraction fee is a separate fee from the eye examination fee and is due at the time of service along with any copay or co-insurance required by your insurance plan.

Do you have any education materials about my eyes?

Understanding your details of your eye diagnosis will ultimately lead to a better understanding your eye health. We have lots of materials on our website about various eye conditions and our patient portal also has educational materials. Our blog posts provide quick practical general advice to help you build a great foundation to know about your eyes. Check out our blog posts here.

What are you doing to keep me safe on my visit from COVID-19?

The safety and health of our patients and staff is our top priority. In response to COVID-19, we have increased our safety procedures to provide you with peace of mind during your visits to include the following:
– All staff and patients are required to wear masks without vents on them at all times regardless of vaccination status. Please be sure to keep your nose and mouth covered at all times.
– All waiting areas have sanitization wipes available for patients or visitors to use on chairs if they elect to do so.
– To practice social distancing we are limiting visitors and ask that patients only bring one guest in with them.
– We also offer our patients virtual telehealth visits for certain concerns. Please call to schedule a virtual appointment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our safety procedures as we care for you.
